Feast your eyes!
It’s cover release day for Free From Falling. As usual, @jickdraws knocked the art out of park. The mullet. The ring. The bracelet. The jersey. I cannot.
In additional Book News:
We are still targeting a December 2024 release for Free From Falling (book 4 in the Breakaway series, but it works as a standalone).
If you like golden retriever x black cat energy, hockey players falling for rock stars, found family, autism/adhd rep, and trans joy, I think you’ll probably enjoy it. 🏳️⚧️🏒🎸🌈
I’m also working on a new project that I can’t talk about yet, but I am VERY excited. Expect some news about it around the same time that FFF is released.
In Fic News:
I’ve wrapped up my Stranger Things fic and am taking a little break for a few months. Working full time, writing a book, editing another book, and renovating a house means my plate is pretty full! Once the house renovations are over I’ll be back in the fic world again, though.
Speaking of Home renovation news:
I’ve got two more bathrooms to share. First up is the powder bath downstairs. I wanted to go bold and obnoxious with this tiny space and I’m a huge fan of how it turned out:

The wallpaper (Spoonflower) is just *chefs kiss* and the whole thing cost less than $200 thanks to sales and a thrifted mirror.
The second bathroom is attached to my office/guest bedroom upstairs. I spent my childhood vehemently declaring my hatred for the color pink because I thought I could either be a tomboy or a girly girl (never the twain shall meet, etc. etc.). So I chose motorcycles and paintball over pink. Now, I’m embracing the fact that people can be multifaceted.

So it is Pink. Very Pink. This was the first time I tiled anything myself and I think it turned out stunning! This project also cost just under $200 thanks to that gorgeous Bedrosians tile that I found leftover from a bigger project on FB marketplace. Such a pretty space, and my new favorite spot for weekend bubble baths.
In Life/travel news:
We’ve been exploring all sorts of hikes near Denver, like the trails around Red Rocks. We attended Pride, visited the Botanic gardens, and got classy for a wedding.

We also had a costume ball + karaoke moment with friends (we were Feyre and Rhysand from ACOTAR) in which B serenaded me and I got nowhere near the microphone.

In Deacon News:
The Good Boy is still not showing his age in the slightest and has been loving our easy access to mountains and cooler temps in CO (as well as all the attention he’s been getting from visiting friends/family).
Finally, just so I have it somewhere, I’ve been killing the thrifted fashion game, whether at work, weekend brunch, or fancy events.

(I want to be cute, but I gotta save my money for books, ya feel?)
Donation stuff:
My monthly LRPD royalty donations are still temporarily being routed to Doctors Without Borders and the Gaza Sunbirds rather than LGBTQ charities. You can read more about the work both orgs are doing in Gaza on their social media accounts. Please consider following them and donating if you have the capability to do so.
Alright, I’m about to hit the length limit so I will come back in a week or so with some book and fic recs, a funny story or two, and an update on Library Renovation (my most exciting project) progress. Love y’all! See you soon!
I am beyond excited for the new book! The Breakaway Series is one of my all-time favorite book series ever and I just can't wait for a new one!
OMG OMG OMG, I found the breakaway series last year and fell IN LOVE with AHtU, I mean, I was going on 5 months of artist's block and I was just immediately inspired by that book. I now stalk you feverishly, waiting for updates on FFF. Oh, by the way, I'm looking for any book recs that are very, very gay and happy and a little angsty and overall exactly like your books, i've read icebreaker already, and anything like your book series and like that would be amazing!! Sending love from Cincinnati and dreaming of one day meeting you in person. XOXO.
